On June 20, 2025, Aqua Texas filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) to raise water and sewer rates of about 77,000 customers across Texas.
The Commission has now issued an order requesting all parties — including intervenors — to submit a list of issues by November 4, 2025 interchange.puc.texas.gov.
This is not just paperwork. What we submit now will guide the judge’s review and determine what Aqua Texas must answer for in the years-long hearing ahead.
Fair Water Texas is building that list — and we need your help.
What We’re Asking From You
Please send us specific, documented water-related problems from your community, especially those that Aqua Texas has deferred or ignored. Examples include:
- Service outages or boil-water notices
- Water quality issues (taste, odor, discoloration, contamination)
- Billing errors or unexplained charges
- Infrastructure failures (leaks, pressure loss, broken mains)
Supporting documentation makes your submission stronger:
- Work orders or service requests filed with Aqua Texas
- Responses (or lack thereof) from Aqua Texas
- TCEQ correspondence or inspection reports
- Photos or videos of unresolved issues
- Any written evidence showing deferred maintenance or ignored complaints
Why It Matters
This is your chance to shape the hearing itself. If we don’t raise these issues now, they may never be addressed. By submitting your evidence, you ensure the judge sees the real-world problems Aqua Texas customers face every day.
Don’t Stop With Your Own Story
Ask your Homeowners Association (HOA) to submit examples too. HOAs often keep records of repeated complaints, service failures, and correspondence with Aqua Texas. These collective voices carry significant weight in the proceeding.
How to Submit
Send your documented issues to Fair Water Texas at:
👉 Info@fairwatertexas.org
Deadline: Please send by Friday, November 1, 2025 so we can compile everything before the PUC’s November 4 deadline.
Together, We Can Hold Aqua Texas Accountable
This is the moment for intervenors and communities to make a lasting impact. Let’s ensure Aqua Texas is required to answer for the problems it has left unresolved.
