Aqua Texas Rates Increase on December 22 – No New Notice Will Be Sent!

adminOctober 14, 2025January 10, 2026

The Administrative Law Judge last week issued Order No. 24, confirming that Aqua Texas’s rate hike application is administratively complete. This means Aqua Texas is now authorized to implement its new water and sewer rates starting December 22, 2025.

But here’s the rub: Aqua Texas will NOT be sending out an updated notice to customers.

The Administrative Law Judge ruled that the original notice from July was sufficient, mainly because Aqua Texas lowered its proposed rates in September, downward from the initial version. That technicality means most of your neighbors may never hear about this unless we spread the word ourselves.

What You Can Do Right Now

✅ Activate your neighborhood – Talk to neighbors, HOAs, and local groups

✅ Direct them to FairWaterTexas.org – Protest and intervenor forms are available

✅ Share our new Facebook page – Help amplify updates and calls to action

We need to reach at least 10% of affected customers—and get them to fill out the protest form—to trigger stronger scrutiny and ensure Aqua’s proposal gets the attention it deserves.
